BBS Ph.D. Student

Amanda A. Macias is a first-generation Ph.D. student and Biomedical & Biological Sciences Fellow at Cornell University. She is conducting graduate-level research on how bile acids and insulin impact fertility in mares with metabolic syndrome in the Donnelly Lab. Amanda graduated in 2021 with a B.S. in Molecular Cell Biology and Physiology.

Ph.D. Student, Lab Manager

Maximilian Spielmann is a longtime Ithacan, having received his B.S. at Cornell University in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Marine Biology, and then continuing to pursue his M.P.S. in Veterinary Parasitology at Cornell University. Currently, Max is a Ph.D. student in Parasitology.

Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine

Brianna Zenaty (Class of ‘28) is a junior majoring in Animal Science on the Pre-Veterinary track. She was accepted into Cornell’s BS/DVM Pathway and has a special interest in equine medicine. During school breaks, she works as a veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital located on Long Island, NY.

Ariana Schneider (Class of ‘28) is a junior majoring in Animal Science on the Pre-Veterinary track. She has a passion for large animal medicine and has been an active participant in the equestrian community for many years. Most notably, she placed first at the IEA National Finals Horsemanship Test in 2023.

Tiffany Chen (Class of ‘28) is a junior majoring in Animal Science on the Pre-Veterinary track. She was accepted into Cornell’s BS/DVM Pathway. In veterinary school, she plans to focus on exotics or small animal medicine.

Clinical Consultant

Caroline Murabito (Class of ’25) is currently working as an Internal Medicine Veterinary Assistant at Cornell University Veterinary Specialists (CUVS) in Stamford, CT. She will begin her studies at the Royal Veterinary College in London in Fall 2026.

Amoure Bell (Class of ’25) is currently working as a hybrid Client Service Representative and Technician Assistant at Village Vet in Los Angeles. She will begin her studies at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Fall 2026.

Emmy Tyrcha (Class of ‘26) is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health degree from Cornell University, with a concentration in Food Systems and Health.
